Unfortunately, our previous Ventrilo status module broke a couple weeks ago. I've been waiting for the site to come back up because I had it coded the way I liked it; however, it never did.
I've put a new one on the website now. It doesn't take up too much space, but it is hogging a bit more space than the other one and it does require the use of a scroll bar. Because of this, I've allowed all modules to be collapsed so that you can collapse the module and you won't have to see it unless you really want to.
Be careful when using this feature, though, so that you don't collapse a module that you do need to pay attention to (such as news). I'll look into some vBulletin or vBadvanced hacks for Ventrilo servers but they generally don't have the visual status that I like, it'll be more of a "Who's Online" repeat and that could be hard to fit into the site for an easily viewed space.
Around 6-7am EST this morning, Caliclya's account was compromised and our guild bank was cleaned out once again. Some items were saved by another officer; however, most of the items missing were lost to the hacker.
I have reported the incident to Blizzard and am currently awaiting a response.
For anyone who is looking for a jewel-crafter/gem-cutter, the ever-generous Avanty has extended the offer to be a contact for us. Her alt, Leillani, is the one with the jewel/gem crafting but she is always willing to help us out if we need it.
As per this thread, our bank is being fully restricted once again due to numerous thefts/hackings over the past year.
I realize that our officer team has done an extraordinary job of keeping high value items in the locked tab and we've been lucky not to have any of those stolen. However, every single item in that bank has a value to somebody and it's not right that any of it is being taken to be sold for one player's profit when we've all contributed to it for the good of the entire guild.
Please visit the thread above to read about our new banking procedures and offer suggestions/feedback if you have it.
Last night, Hoodscooters achieved a milestone in Obsidian Sanctum: we took it down with two drakes up! Not only that but we also finished all three instances 30 minutes before our hard stop.
Congratulations, guys! You worked hard, did fabulous and you all deserve your Twilight Duo achievement.
This afternoon, one little Dwarf set his sights on one massive adventure. He braved the hopeless wastelands of the Searing Gorge, shielding his eyes with his hand to keep the flames from burning him.
Alas! He spotted what he sought far in the distance: Blackrock Mountain. And in it? The Molten Core.
His heart raced and he picked up his pace, moving faster than any little Dwarf was known to. Navigating through twisted hallway after hallway, he finally found the entrance. As he surveyed the lava-strewn cave, he drew in a deep breath and unsheathed his weapons. The time was now.
In three and a half hours, MC has been conquered. Eruk started the battle and fought on by himself for over a hour before I joined him. About 30 minutes from the end, Belarath and Bachstail joined us for extra firepower.
