Please send Baerna an in-game mail if you are having trouble getting access to your forum account. Problems have been reported and we are in the process of fixing them, but we need to know who is having trouble.
I have decided to take an indefinite break from WoW. As of today, my subscription is canceled. In my absence, the guild will continue to maintain and lead itself with the officer team at its disposal. Calithos and Remia (should they decide to accept their mission ) will be our SASU liasons.
Discussion thread here if you want to participate.
Feel free to contact me by e-mail (cheesekate@gmail.com) or Facebook if you want to chat! I'd be very happy to hear from people outside of the game. Thanks for everything, guys. You've been awesome.
A breakdown of the updated guild ranks and the benefits of each.
Noble Tauren - Officers with authenticators. Has full access to the guild bank along with the ability to promote, demote, invite, edit notes, change the motd, etc.
RP'ing an Officer - Officers without authenticators (Calithos ) that have all the abilities of a normal officer but who lack access to the guild bank.
Wise Draenei - Members with authenticators that have limited access to the guild bank and a larger daily gold withdrawal from the gbank than Average Humans.
Average Humans - Members without authenticators that have no access to the guild bank and a modest daily gold withdrawal amount.
Cloned Gnome - The alts of all members, regardless of being an Average Human or Wise Draenei. No access to the guild bank and the smallest amount of gold withdrawal from the gbank.
Vile Elf - Moderation rank for being a poopy head. No ability to speak in guild chat, view the gbank, create guild events, or repair from the gbank.
To better illustrate the philosophy behind these changes I am posting a picture which I think more or less sums everything up. The image serves several additional purposes, in that it show cases my immense artistic ability, produces something other than lame old screenshots of Z killing Arthas, and provides a cheerful welcoming screen to our guilds front page.
Since we're stockpiling gold in the guild bank and it's not really getting used, we decided it might be cool for players to be able to repair from the guild bank on a daily basis, especially since we appreciate all the hard work and dedication many of you have shown. The ranks have been restructured to the following:
Mudkip - Mudkips can repair from the guild bank for 1g/day. Mudkips are any member that is not a Ventrilo Donor or a player that attends a SV raid.
LOLCat - LOLCats can repair from the guild bank for 2g/day. LOLCats is any player that is a Vent Donor but not someone who attends a SV raid.
Goatse - Goatses can repair from the guild bank for 5g/day. Goatse is for any player that regularly attends a SV raid. If a Goatse stops regularly attending SV raids, they will be demoted to either LOLCat or Mudkip (depending on the appropriate choice).
If you have any questions or concerns about the rank restructure, please feel free to start a discussion thread.
I have currently locked the guild bank down (nothing can be withdrawn and nothing can be deposited) because of a bug that happens sometimes when leadership of a guild is transferred from one player to another.
While the items appear to be gone, they are all actually still there. They just aren't visible. They will be visible again on Tuesday when the server resets (this is currently the only fix for this bug, Game Masters and Blizzard technical support can do nothing about it). The only time a problem would occur is if a player deposited an item into a slot that's already filled. If that happened, when the server resets on Tuesday, it would reset with the new item and the original item would be replaced (hence why deposits are removed for the time being). So, we haven't been hacked and access will be restored. We've just been bugged temporarily. Sorry for the inconvenience!
Unfortunately, our previous Ventrilo status module broke a couple weeks ago. I've been waiting for the site to come back up because I had it coded the way I liked it; however, it never did.
I've put a new one on the website now. It doesn't take up too much space, but it is hogging a bit more space than the other one and it does require the use of a scroll bar. Because of this, I've allowed all modules to be collapsed so that you can collapse the module and you won't have to see it unless you really want to.
Be careful when using this feature, though, so that you don't collapse a module that you do need to pay attention to (such as news). I'll look into some vBulletin or vBadvanced hacks for Ventrilo servers but they generally don't have the visual status that I like, it'll be more of a "Who's Online" repeat and that could be hard to fit into the site for an easily viewed space.
Around 6-7am EST this morning, Caliclya's account was compromised and our guild bank was cleaned out once again. Some items were saved by another officer; however, most of the items missing were lost to the hacker.
I have reported the incident to Blizzard and am currently awaiting a response.
For anyone who is looking for a jewel-crafter/gem-cutter, the ever-generous Avanty has extended the offer to be a contact for us. Her alt, Leillani, is the one with the jewel/gem crafting but she is always willing to help us out if we need it.
